New to the team: Demian Ruch, automation technician
Demian Ruch joined the Robotec Solutions production team in November 2024.Read more about the talented newcomer in the following short interview.
Demian, how was your start with us?
My start was very good! It's my first real job after my apprenticeship and a lot of things are still new. But the induction was great and I was shown everything.
What did you do before?
I came from a four-year apprenticeship as an EFZ automation technician. In the 3rd and 4th year of my apprenticeship, I worked at the semiconductor manufacturer Hitachi in Lenzburg, where I was responsible for service and maintenance. Before that, I had completed the two-year basic training course for automation technicians at libs in Baden (training center for industrial apprenticeships). There I learned a lot about mechanics, robotics, wiring, soldering, construction, measurement technology and much more.
How did you come to Robotec Solutions?
I've always found robotics very interesting. I dealt with it a lot, especially in the second year of my apprenticeship. As I come from Seon, Robotec was a household name in our family. One thing led to another and when the job was advertised, I applied for it straight away. I was then able to wire my first system with Lars Huwiler during a trial run.
What are you particularly looking forward to?
I'm looking forward to exciting projects and the variety. Every project is different, both in terms of industry and size. I'm currently working on an industrial robot system on a traversing axis.
And finally:What do you do in your free time?
I play floorball and generally do a lot of sport, from jogging to fitness. I can also be found on my racing bike from time to time. I used to do a lot of triathlon. I also used to do a lot of programming and enjoyed assembling PCs.
Demian, we think it's great that you're with us and we're really looking forward to working with you!
